Fall-like Weekend-wear

Good evening, readers! 🌛 This weekend's weather has been perfect so far – not too steamy, just enough sun yesterday & just the right amount of clouds & cool breezes today. Talk about early autumn weather!! 🍂🌾

With the slow change in weather comes a transition of wardrobe. Now don't get me wrong, sometimes this shift is tough to gauge because summer temps can linger into the late fall. Denim is a great staple for these fluctuations, & grey is an easy neutral for nearly any outfit!

I paired this off the shoulder, striped, flowy top with dark denim jeans & Merona pearl sandals. Add a statement necklace & in all set. Plus, how can any girl turn down pearls, even costume pearls??

A few things that I'm obsessing over:
– the sleeves on this top are split all the way up & adds so much flare
– the jeans are a high-low hem – perfect for shorter females like me so they get right at the ankle 😉
– the pearl sandals are Steve Madden dupes!
– all these pieces (excluding the pearls) are from Target! Seriously, my holy grail. I found the pearl slide sandals on a blogger's Instagram, looked a bit more into them and found that Steve Madden sells them for nearly triple the price at Target. AND they're so comfy! I 12/10 recommend you check them out – also sold in black!

What is your favorite not-quite-but-almost-fall-weekend-look?! What pieces are staples as you start rolling out the new wardrobe? 🌻

Thanks for reading!

Style Saturday: Work Outfit + What I Focus On

Happy Saturday, readers! Ok, was it just me or was this week nearly the longest week ever?! I guess the time change still has me like ๐Ÿ˜ด…. BUT, it’s the weekend so time to enjoy some “you” time! ๐Ÿ’•โœจ

So once the weekend zooms on by and Monday morning comes around, do you ever rack your mind of what to wear? I definitely do (actually, every day). I try to focus on a couple things when I put together a typica work outfit:

  • Solid, neutrals
  • Bold statement necklace

Cheetah pumps: Target; Tulle beige top: LC from Kohl’s; Black pants: NY&Co; Necklace & belt: Target

This is one of my latest favorites! I’ve always been obsessed with tulle – chic and just enough feminine. Black pants are an easy go-to, and I popped the outfit with cheetah print heels and a jeweled necklace. The cognac belt ties the neutrals and pattern all together. Voilร !

Simple details.

What is your typical work outfit? Do you focus on one piece or have a specific go-to?! I want to hear!!

Until next time, Xx

Fall Essentials

Happy November 1st, all! The start of a beautiful month – nature and spiritual-wise. ๐Ÿ๐Ÿฟ๐Ÿ“ฟ

I feel like this is a commonly covered topic, but it’s always a blast to put together (& see others’) essentials for the season! I like to stick with basics for essentials because you can easily pair them with those fun-patterned, uniquely colored pieces. And yes, somewhat similar to my last post/a spin-off… but enjoy! ๐Ÿ˜‰

1. Skinny black pants – these babies can go with virtually any color and texture. You dress them up, dress them down, dress them however you want!

All black everything โ–ช๏ธ

2. A blanket scarf – a heavier scarf can work for any sized woman (if wrapped correctly)! Promise (http://kellyinthecity.com/how-to-tie-a-blanket-scarf/). A blanket scarf adds a bit of personality and unique flare to an outfit, especially if you’re in hurry.

BIG SIDE NOTE: Yesterday, I didn’t have much with me for an outfit change between work & meeting my boyfriend, so I wore all black along with my mult-maroon/cream scarf and maroon flats. It worked. ๐Ÿ˜Ž

S/o to Braulio Fontanez for taking some great shots at Schiller Park

+ *EVEN BIGGER SIDE NOTE: if any of you aren’t native to Columbus and are in the area sometime, I highly recommend visiting Schiller Park in German Village. It’s beautiful scenery, good, calming vibes and an interesting history ๐ŸŒพ๐Ÿ‚

Alrighty! What are some of your fall wardrobe essentials? What’s your favorite piece to wear and how do you pair it?

Until next time, Xx
