Fall-like Weekend-wear

Good evening, readers! 🌛 This weekend's weather has been perfect so far – not too steamy, just enough sun yesterday & just the right amount of clouds & cool breezes today. Talk about early autumn weather!! 🍂🌾

With the slow change in weather comes a transition of wardrobe. Now don't get me wrong, sometimes this shift is tough to gauge because summer temps can linger into the late fall. Denim is a great staple for these fluctuations, & grey is an easy neutral for nearly any outfit!

I paired this off the shoulder, striped, flowy top with dark denim jeans & Merona pearl sandals. Add a statement necklace & in all set. Plus, how can any girl turn down pearls, even costume pearls??

A few things that I'm obsessing over:
– the sleeves on this top are split all the way up & adds so much flare
– the jeans are a high-low hem – perfect for shorter females like me so they get right at the ankle 😉
– the pearl sandals are Steve Madden dupes!
– all these pieces (excluding the pearls) are from Target! Seriously, my holy grail. I found the pearl slide sandals on a blogger's Instagram, looked a bit more into them and found that Steve Madden sells them for nearly triple the price at Target. AND they're so comfy! I 12/10 recommend you check them out – also sold in black!

What is your favorite not-quite-but-almost-fall-weekend-look?! What pieces are staples as you start rolling out the new wardrobe? 🌻

Thanks for reading!

Favorite Stores: Spring Edition

Hi there, hello, readers! Happy Tuesday! 🌷

So now that it finally feels like spring has sprung, that means bright colors, dresses & light textiles! Today, I finally put away all the bulky sweaters & hung all zee fresh & vibrant colors in my wardrobe (granted, I will always have a bit of black for every season πŸ˜‰). It’s so refreshing.

With this transition, I wanted to share with you all a couple of my favorite pieces & top picks for clothing shops:

  • Target. But really, Target is my top go-to for clothing. If you don’t already shop there, you need to very soon! They have some great steals, & Victoria Beckham just released her not-so-Posh line & it’s ahhh-maxing

A Merona Target find. I’m obsessed with the peplum sleeve + the vibrancy of the royal blue. It’s so chic! πŸ‘—
Another Merona Target snag from 2 years ago. The creamy material is so light + the vertical floral pattern adds just the right amount of color & sass 🌼

  • Loft. I mean cute & business/casual chic all in one?! HI, YES PLEASE. Plus, sign up for Loft emails – there’s usually a sale code included! πŸ˜‰
  • Vernacular. A local clothing boutique that’s expanding to Texas and Atlanta. They have prime, hand-picked pieces for every season! You can also order online.

OK, so what are some of your favorite clothing shops or boutiques?! What are you rocking for spring?

I can’t wait to hear – thanks for reading!

Until next time, Xx

Fab Fall Favorites

Ahh, happy fall, y’all (even though fall really started about a month ago…)! 🍁
I’ve been wanting (dying) to post some fall favorites from my wardrobe for a hot second for a couple reasons:

  1. Fall has THE best colored clothing/accessory pieces (or maybe I just love browns and maroons?)
  2. Fall is all about layering!

Some major trends that remained consistent from last fall were leather booties, plaid button-downs and blanket scarves! With both comes comfort and warmth – what more could you ask for?! Not much.

A rare but perfect find at Nordstrom Rack! (Franco Sarto boots)
Army boots can add a fun “edge” to any casual outfit (local boutique, Figleaf) and darker colored blanket scarf from Forever xxi
Plaid is a perfect go-to. Bracelets always add a bit of personality & style, too πŸ˜‰

A new-ish fall fashion trend I’m obsessed with is all things maroon! Especially maroon tights and pants – so fun and colorful, a perfect match for the season! πŸ™†πŸ»πŸ‘–πŸ

Recently I picked up maroon tights at Target to pair with this fall-floral, navy dress from Vernacular (here in Columbus)!

Have any of you tried out any fun maroon styles yet?! What are some of your favorite fall go-tos?

Until next time, Xx
