Hello, hello, and happy Friday-eve, everyone! ✨ Ahh, I hope you all enjoyed the Summer Solstice this week, especially as the toasty temps are hitting hard already! Like HEY, what’s up, hello, summer! 🌞🌞🌞
Along with welcoming the change in season, I did my typical wardrobe shopping binge (I say binge but I seriously only jump on the deals. I mean you have to)! A new season is the reason for new clothes 💁🏻 right, ladies?!
It hits right at the waist, so not too long and not too short. This warm oatmeal shade is truly neutral so it can be paired with nearly every color and pattern! It’s also a prime staple piece. 🌸
While it’s a super casual top that’s seriously so cozy, I jazzed it up for the office with a triple strand of pearls – seriously, if you’re ever on the hunt for costume jewelry, scavenge estate sales or garage sales in your area – super eclectic and fun!
I love these because they’re dressy but not over the top crazy. They have a kitty cork wedge to add just a bit of height, too! These bad boys look stellar with skinny black dress pants and destroyed denim jeans – so basically perfect for the office and the weekend. It’s a win win.
What are some of your top summer buys for your wardrobe? Is there an essential you feel every girl should have?! 👗👛
Happy Fri-yay, all! 🙆🏻🌸 We made it through another week– another week of warm, mid-Ohio weather. On the sunny side, this is the perfect time to pull out (or buy new) your unique summer dresses!
One of my latest purchases is from my fav clothing boutique, here in Columbus, Vernacular! (I now work for Vernacular’s sister-store, Objects for the Home, and I highly recommend checking both out online– Vernacular even offers online ordering– so what could be better?!)
I was a tad skeptical about this dark nude dress and resembling that of a paper bag… But with the right jewelry (a bold statement necklace) and shoes, this show-stopper piece is complete. 👌🏻💁🏻 I must say that is extremely comfy and flowy! I finished my look with Revlon Berry Haute lipstick- I cannot get enough of it! Next, I’d love to pair this dress with black strappy heels to add a bit of contrast.
What is your fav type of summer dress– dress, casual?! Let’s hear!
Happy Valentine’s Day, everyone! Whether your spending the day with a significant other or enjoying the day stuffing your face with candy, a best friend and Netflix– cheers! Love is one feeling the world can always use. 💖
For this love and pink/red-filled holiday, I put together an a casual and comfy look: a classic black fitted dress with chunky wool socks and ankle combat booties. To add a bit of glam, a pink/iridescent statement necklace. + add a little pink lipstick to take the dress up one more notch 💄😘
Black fitted dress: Old Navy
Tan ankle combat booties: Sam&Libby at Target
Chunky grey socks: Banana Republic
Statement necklace: Target

Happy Saturday, everyone! I hope you had a fabulous Christmas full of love, joy and mass amounts of Christmas music… and maybe a little wine. 😉 This was the first year I decided to really go all out and decorate my room, outside of my college dorm room. Decor undoubtedly brings up my holiday spirits, especially with the lack of white snow and the expected chilly or below-freezing weather here in Ohio. Here’s a little peek…
As the holiday season continues, a celebration that nearly everyone of all ages enjoys is New Year’s Eve; a time to celebrate where we are in life, be thankful for those we have to share life’s whirlwinds with, and let go of what no longer satisfies us–a time for new beginnings! Along with this cheerful and glitter-filled celebration comes the perfect outfit.
This year, tutu/tulle skirts have made a huge appearance in the fashion world. They’re all so unique, from beautiful colors and patterns to the various lengths. They’re one of my faves because you can easily pair a longer tutu with a basic text shirt or with a sheer top for going out with friends/date night! Like I always say: confidence is everything when it comes to fashion pieces–so rock it if you wear one! 😉
+ As I get older, I find that it’s more about looking “classy-sexy”–it’s not always about showing the most skin. It’s about rocking a put-together and form-fitting outfit with confidence, ladies!
My overall outfit-thought-concept is an ivory tutu skirt from none other, A&F, an off-white three-quarters length sleeved sweater that has small dots in the fabric by ELLE from Kohl’s, black stockings and leopard print heels with an unidentified statement necklace to tie in the black tights. Here’s just a few photos from various Pinterest accounts that inspired my look as I head into 2016!
This was my main inspo- especially since my tutu length is above the knees
Mixing of tans & creams
Leopard print heels make any outfit a little wild!
