Happy (almost) Sunday, readers! Today was beyond gorgeous – bright blue skies, low humidity, 88 degrees and a gleaming sun. What more can you ask for?! 🌞
As this summer’s fashion trends have been rolling out, florals and bold colors have been HUGE! Now, don’t get me wrong, patterns and bold colors can undoubtedly be intimidating. The key to all things intimindation is confidence. If you dig the all-over, funky pattern, you rock it with confidence! Trust me, it will make every single outfit.
I found the most fun patterned Pixie pants and shorts from Old Navy recently.
I love these pants because you can mix a solid or a subtle pattern for the top to add a bit more sass & fun! The aloha flowers make me wish I were on vacation like no other. Also, I’m obsessed with Pixie pants in general – they’re always a perfect fit.
These coral palm tree printed shorts are more than perfect. They’re long but not too long, like “mom-long.” I paired these with a white tunic from Old Navy for a casual & chic summer look. These bad boys are my new favorite shorts. 🌴
No matter the color, no matter the pattern, always wear confidence. Life can’t be perfect, but your outfit can be. 🎀
What are some of your most loved summer patterns or pieces?
Hello & happy Satur-YAY, readers! BLESS UP for a little relaxation & self-care after a long week. ✨💕
Despite the dropping temps here in Ohio, I for one am so ready for spring! I mean pastels, florals & patterns for days… all of my current wardrobe obsessions are definitely springing into spring…
I fell in love with this Vine Mixed Media Sweater T. It’s almost like a basic in the front with a party around back – HEEEYY! The sheer floral back is gathered, almost like a high peplum, & the navy shade is to die for.
Bonuses: it’s a high-low top – so hi, yes, perfect to tuck in in the front, & there’s baby pink hues in the florals. Navy & light pink together are gorg, always. 🌸
Next is this beautiful Henley top with bell sleeves, which are make a HUUGE comeback (yay)! The top’s textured pinstripes and buttons are paired perfectly, too. Plus, who doesn’t look good in baby blue?!
A gray blazer is a must. I wear this all year round & it’s definitely been one of my best wardrobe purchases. It’s the perfect staple to dress / sass-up any outfit!
OH MY LANTA! When I came across these fab floral pumps, I think my heart skipped a beat. So I went for the gold! Seldomely do you see wild, fun & colorfully patterned heels, & these can easily be a pop for any basic outfit. 🌸😍
What pieces are you OBSESSED with for spring?! What pattern/color is a must for you?
Hi, hi all! My… I feel like I say this (literally) every time, but I can’t stand how I never find time to blog. It was one of my August intentions to work on creating time… But hey, it’s not quite mid-August yet. 😉
Along with setting aside time, I’ve moved into my new apartment (pics in my next post on decor) and started a new job– Eeekk! So many new chapters and fresh beginnings– I’m already loving it! 🌸✨
With that being said, I needed to work on morphing my wardrobe to fit a more business casual/business formal look. I’ve been so use to wearing jeans everyday and I knew this would be quite the transition! Definitely in a good way though. 👗👠
I’m a girl who loves clothes. Sometimes it’s tough to control my obsession, especially working part-time at my fav boutique, but clothing and accessories are my outlet of expression. So I have as much fun with it as I want!
I finished my first week at my new job with a fun tri-colored skirt, classic white blouse, jean jacket and low-heeled nude pumps with a clear-jeweled statement necklace. A little bit of pattern mixed with some classic pieces goes a long way!
What are some of your favorite office chic outfits?!
Happy Tuesday, readers! Ok, it has been entirely too long since my last post — no excuses & I hate it. On the sunny side, it seems as though spring is here & it’s here to stay! 🌞🌸
As you know, every season has its own fashion statement pieces. One of my favorites that I tried for the first time is a kimono. Paired with the right pieces, kimonos are so fun, adding a bit of movement, sheer & pattern! At the same time, some kimonos can feel like straight shaper robes because of their weight & length (especially if you’re short like me!). With that being said, if you’re going to wear one, wear it with confidence (+ a bit of lip color!).
I paired this black & white one with a bit of nude- tank & flats, along with light-washed, high-waisted denim & a skinny black belt. The pattern was just enough with the neutrals — not too overpowering.
What pieces are you “krazy” for?! Or what do you pair your kimono with? Let’s hear!
Hey, readers! It’s been a loco past week at work. Bright side: I’m in (somewhat) sunny Orlando- nice get-away from the Ohio snowstorm.
So I was at a trade show that my company is exhibiting at this week and continued to see this young woman circle around throughout the afternoon. I thought to myself how much I adored her chic outfit! Little did I know I had a meeting scheduled with her later on in the day. Upon meeting, I excitedly expressed how I admired her outfit. 😉
Long story short, I love that she paired a neutrally-colored, pattern shift dress with bright sapphire blue flats. The pop of color was perfect! Side note: the exhibition is for the utility industry which is primarily filled with men, some women and lots of bland color… It was refreshing seeing her professionally-chic outfit. Well done, Libbie!
Let’s be honest, 23 isn’t a very exciting year… But I will say it’s better than 17 or 19 😉
This year, is the first birthday I spent at work- a “real paying job.” Not an internship, not a part-time, retail gig, but a job that I truly enjoy. With that being said, I had to treat myself to a fun birthday outfit!
I found this very chic baby doll DO + BE top at Vernacular, high waisted, light skinny jeans from A&F (courtesy of a good friend!) and the oxfords from yesterday’s post! I mixed in a variety of jewelry an– waalah!
I’m obsessed with the thicker material of the top, then a mix of black sheer flow in the back and lower in the front. The polka dots aren’t too overbearing and the longer cap sleeves just did it for me! Such a fun top to pair with all types of bottoms– + stellar for all seasons!
