It’s a beautiful Saturday evening filled with snow (some ice) & lots of wine – life couldn’t get much sweeter. ❄️🍷 how are you spending one of the first Saturdays of the new year!?
Although it’s winter & the temps are nearly unknown every day, I can’t get enough of dresses this time of year! I’ve put together a little collection of a few of my faves for the season, for all occasions!:
– A night out ft. all the tulle
I’m so in love with tulle. It constantly reminds me of Carrie Bradshaw & her dangerously unique fashion sense in the Big City! I found this flare midi dress Express – plus, it’s on supperrr sale right now! The plunging neckline in the front and back adds the perfect amount of sexy. I paired this with a pair of stills to velvet black booties from Old Navy; usually I wouldn’t pair navy + black together, but the two compliment each other here! These boots are incredible versatile, too. You can rock booties like this in the office with dress pants, with jeans for a more casual look or for a night out – the options are endless. Get you a pair!
– Casual black dress with a flare
Every gal should own a solid T-shirt dress that you can wear any time of the year! This baby is part of Who What Wear’s Target collection, and features puffy sleeves. This minimal detail adds lots of pep + attitude to a wardrobe staple!
For the office, I paired this classic with burgundy tights, cheetah print booties for a little pattern & a neutral statement necklace… voila!
– A skirt to remember (also reminiscent of Carrie Bradshaw)
I’m a huge fan of high-waisted skirts! They’re so fun as you can usually pair solids or patterns with them depending on your vibes. 🤗 this grey pleated skirt came from a local boutique, Vernacular! It’s a heavier material but feels incredibly light while wearing – what more could you ask for?! I wanted to keep the look neutral as the booties top the look off!
Side note: I rarely mix patterns… I’m generally nervous to. However, here, the two work together as they’re not on top of one another, competing.
Reader: do you mix patterns often? Do you have any pro tips?!
Well, here’s to a magical 2018! 🥂 Thanks for reading!
