Happy Sunday, babes! ☕️ It’s finally feeling like the cool, crisp autumn we’ve been waiting for 🎃🍁🌞 PRAISE!
With this change in weather comes a shift in wardrobe. On a brief side note: I feel as though my taste in clothing has altered so much since graduating from college. Now, I search for staple pieces that can be worn in the office and out with the girls or my boyfriend at night. With that, I’m all about the sweaters, long or fitted, blanket scarves, plaid or solids and all the warm, dark fall colors! 🤗
I recently found this killer navy, double-peplum sweatshirt from Banana Republic. I’m obsessed! It’s pairs perfectly with these knee-ripped, high low hem jeans from Target, plus (throwback!) these gold mules by Franco Sarto (I found this pair at Mashall’s). Hi, yes! I’m over-the-moon-in-love with mules this season! They’re different, fun, casual & super easy for any outfit. You need to get a pair. Or five. 😉
What is your go-to weekend wear? Are there any colors or patterns you’re excited to rock this season?! I’d love to hear! 😀
Good evening, readers! 🌛 This weekend's weather has been perfect so far – not too steamy, just enough sun yesterday & just the right amount of clouds & cool breezes today. Talk about early autumn weather!! 🍂🌾
With the slow change in weather comes a transition of wardrobe. Now don't get me wrong, sometimes this shift is tough to gauge because summer temps can linger into the late fall. Denim is a great staple for these fluctuations, & grey is an easy neutral for nearly any outfit!
I paired this off the shoulder, striped, flowy top with dark denim jeans & Merona pearl sandals. Add a statement necklace & in all set. Plus, how can any girl turn down pearls, even costume pearls??
A few things that I'm obsessing over: – the sleeves on this top are split all the way up & adds so much flare – the jeans are a high-low hem – perfect for shorter females like me so they get right at the ankle 😉 – the pearl sandals are Steve Madden dupes! – all these pieces (excluding the pearls) are from Target! Seriously, my holy grail. I found the pearl slide sandals on a blogger's Instagram, looked a bit more into them and found that Steve Madden sells them for nearly triple the price at Target. AND they're so comfy! I 12/10 recommend you check them out – also sold in black!
What is your favorite not-quite-but-almost-fall-weekend-look?! What pieces are staples as you start rolling out the new wardrobe? 🌻
Happy Monday, readers! Ahh, it’s the first Monday of a beautiful month, along with even more fall- chic and cozy- looks. I meant to post this and blonk, other life things interrupted me…
I feel as though ponchos have been around here and there in the past, and they’re making a huge sweep this year! This A&F poncho looks fabulous with a basic, neutral long sleeve tee! The pattern is eclectic and the strings on each side tie together to frame my torso. I paired this with HCO indigo skinny jeans and black Madden Girl booties for work, along with some subtle gems and Melted lip stain.
Let me just say that I was warm all day, despite the varying temps last week in Ohio. This is by far my favorite outfit so far!
Have you tried out a poncho yet?! I’d love to hear!
Even though we’re still feeling the wrath of the muggy summer heat, autumn is right around the corner! It wasn’t until college that I learned to embrace and love fall and all it has to offer, from warm, oversized sweaters to fun leather booties and the most beloved, Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte.
I’ve compiled a collection of fall must-haves to inspire fun, chic outfits for the upcoming easy, breezy weather from places like Etsy, A&F, Macy’s, Express, H&M, Target, L.L. Bean and of course, Starbucks.
I love fall for one sole fashion reason: layers. Layers can be a blast– but do what looks best for you! Since I stand around 5’3″, long, oversized sweaters don’t always work for me… I look like I’m wearing a colored sack. However, I love pairing neutral sweaters with a top with a design/texture or pop of color. This year, I’m obsess with higher necklines, including scoops, to easily pair with nearly any sweater or leather jacket, and a statement necklace… or even a simple charm necklace. Side note: sometimes I wish the things I picture in my head to buy, would just magically appear in stores when I go shopping– wouldn’t that be heaven?!
So now, what are some of your favorite fall fashion pieces in your wardrobe?!
Hello, hello, bloggers! This past week was a whirlwind of activity, from picking out a new car and juggling a few work projects to catching up on sleep… It’s life.
While I haven’t posted a blog-specific FashionFriday post in a while, I want to share this “grab the wall” fashion image I stumbled across on wander_beauty’s Instagram (see previous makeup post if you’d like more deets about their girly products)!
I fell in love with this photo for two reasons: heels with jeans and holey jeans. Now, on to my mantra: you can wear anything as long as you carry confidence. I believe this holds true for any outfit/occasion, but also keep in mind the combinations. Here, the peep-toe, ankle strapped, periwinkle heels are quite classy, mixed with a dash of “rugged” with the jeans. 4-inch high, shiny black stripper heels that look like you found them laying on the sidewalk of a street corner would not go. Nor any insanely high heel. The PPP of color is very subtle, as is the low height.
Personally, I’m slightly obsessed with ripped jeans and have a few faves that I wear on the weekends. While I do get some glares from mothers in public from time to time, I like to rock the straight legged, high waisted holey with a fitted top and a chic pair of neutral sandals. As long as your holey jeans aren’t tight and boot cut with holes in them from 1999, including on the bottom cuff from walking on them (I was guilty when I was younger of this!), then go for the gold!
Do you pair a fun little heel with your favorite pair of jeans? Pointed toe or peep toe?!
PS- I recently started reading Mindy Kaling’s (fabulous) book titled Is Everyone Hanging Our Without Me? (And Other Concerns).
I highly recommend! She’s a comedian and inspiration. It’s an autobiography with a hint of her witty observations and a twist of shopping guide, with a hint of inspiration. Seriously, go buy it on Amazon or your nearest bookstore!
Hey peeps! It’s summer, it’s Friday and life is good! I’m pretty stoked about this FashionFriday: Casual Weekend Wear!
The weekend is prime time to relax, but if you’re going out in public, you have to look fabulous (as per usual)! Here is a really fun and easy outfit to put together- it’s from a blogger I follow on Instagram- emilyanngemma. She has some beautiful outfits, posts and blogs ranging from all outfit needs.
I’m obsessed with the casual look with a pop of color. Ripped jeans can pair perfectly with relaxed tees and casual/comfort shoes or sandals. A little clutch or side satchel completes the casual but put-together look, too!
