Hey there, readers! 🍷 Happy Sunday! I hope you had a day full of rest & so much self-care. ✨💕
Since the chillier months require warm, cozy layers, I’m throwing it back to a couple simple staples for this post!
Sweaters are always a must, especially if they’re neutral. This lovely oversized, ruffle cowl neck sweater is the perfect piece for date night or out-&-about on a weekend! The high-low hem + ruffles add just the right amount of personality, too.
My second (& latest obsession) staple are Universal Thread’s high-rise straight jeans! The medium wash is flattering for any skin tone & works for day or night – like I always say, multi-purpose is the best! On a quick side note: you must check out Universal Thread next time you’re perusing Target. They have some gorgeous staples – ranging from shoes, purses, tees & of course, denim for days! 🤗👖
So even though it’s chilly & possibly snowing this time of year, you can easily put together a fun + flattering staple-filled outfit!
Thanks for reading! Here’s to a beautiful week ahead! 💖
Hey, hi, hello! Ok, it’s been far too long… for now, I’ll blame it on my obsession over decorating our apartment for the holidays. Seriously, I don’t think I’ve ever been so excited! All the pine scents, lights & copious amounts of hot cocoa. 😌🎄 Sheer perfection.
Like many folks, i delved into the holiday spirit by doing some mad shopping on Black Friday and Cyber Monday (which now extends into Tuesday, too!). Without question, my favorite finds this year were these mock turtlenecks from Old Navy! Plus, they’re on sale right now for $8!
I can’t say enough how much I love adding staples to my wardrobe. These mock tops are perfect because they’re a casual enough fabric to wear with jeans or dress up a look with colored pants. They have a textured ribbed look, and are so warm as the temps are dropping it like it’s… freezing. Plus, these mock tops are so fun with booties or mules! Like hi, yes. I’m also in love with mules. I’m thrilled these came back into the fashion whirl! They’re incredible vintage yet chic for any outfit.
So what were your top Black Friday or Cyber Monday fashion finds?! What are your thoughts on be comeback of mules? I’d love to hear!
Happy-almost-weekend, readers! I don’t know about you, but I feel like December is zooming on by, and with that comes a couple even more chilly months as we head into the new year, at least in Ohio!
One of my favorite things to any outfit are shoes: flats, wedges, kitten heels and even boots! Shoes can make or break an outfit. They can add a pop of color/pattern, texture and interest to any outfit.
During the cold Midwestern months, I’ve found that my go-to shoes are Sorel boots. Waterproof, check; texture, check; warmth, check! I recently snagged these bad boys and am in love. These are Sorel’s Out-n-About boots in Elk that hit slightly above the ankle. They’re easy to slip on and off and look fabulous with jeans and a cozy sweater, or even leggings and a sweater dress!
What are your favorite winter go-to shoes?! Let’s hear!
Ahh, fall is officially here! It’s the perfect weather for early morning runs- mid-60s and cool breezes- and fun fall fashion.
One of my favorite items for fall are blanket scarves (I have yet to purchase mine)! +It can be tough to find one that fits just right when you only stand roughly 5’3″ high ☺️ because some are overwhelmingly large, nugg like a blanket you snug up with on a movie night, while others are just enough textured fabric.
I came across this pretty neat blanket scarf style (left) on @pinkpineappleshop’s Instagram this morning and had to share! This shop also sells blanket scarves, so give them a look! I love the dimension and mixes of texture in this look– definitely not something you’d spot strolling down the street every day! +The blanket scarf resembles a sweater… But paired with the perfect belt, you have an easy and fresh fall look! SO FUN! I love that this is paired with mid-wash jeans and high brown boots– chic, comfy and cozy!
So let’s hear: what are some of your favorite fall fashion looks?! I’d love to see photos!
