Hi there, HELLO! Happy Tuesday, readers! Let me just start off by gabbing about this absolutely gorgeous summer weather today – like all sun & cool breezes 😁🌞 that's what I'm talking about, Ohio!
I feel as though embroidery was HUGE when I was in grade school! I remember the "hip" embroidered, bootcut jeans and jean jackets like it was yesterday. Low & behold, embroidery is making a bold comeback!
My newest find is this jaw-dropping button down with gorgeous embroidered florals. The details in the stitches and the dainty bell sleeves flow so naturally. This top is so sweet. 🌸🌼 To top it off, you can find this at Target, babes!
My favorite part of this is the fact that the buttons are hidden with an over-layer – simple but adds a bit of class, & this blouse can be worn for business casual or out-&-about on a Saturday! I love dual-purpose pieces. & I LOVE the pattern underneath the flowers – mixing texture & colors. 😉
What "sweet little somethings" clothing piece are you over-the-moon about?! Feel free to share!
Special shoutout to one of my colleagues, Mai, for making me the adorable origami fashion pieces!
Happy (almost) Sunday, readers! Today was beyond gorgeous – bright blue skies, low humidity, 88 degrees and a gleaming sun. What more can you ask for?! 🌞
As this summer’s fashion trends have been rolling out, florals and bold colors have been HUGE! Now, don’t get me wrong, patterns and bold colors can undoubtedly be intimidating. The key to all things intimindation is confidence. If you dig the all-over, funky pattern, you rock it with confidence! Trust me, it will make every single outfit.
I found the most fun patterned Pixie pants and shorts from Old Navy recently.
I love these pants because you can mix a solid or a subtle pattern for the top to add a bit more sass & fun! The aloha flowers make me wish I were on vacation like no other. Also, I’m obsessed with Pixie pants in general – they’re always a perfect fit.
These coral palm tree printed shorts are more than perfect. They’re long but not too long, like “mom-long.” I paired these with a white tunic from Old Navy for a casual & chic summer look. These bad boys are my new favorite shorts. 🌴
No matter the color, no matter the pattern, always wear confidence. Life can’t be perfect, but your outfit can be. 🎀
What are some of your most loved summer patterns or pieces?
Happy pre-Friyay, y’all! I don’t know about you, but I’m soooo happy about the start of April– looking forward to fresh-weekly flowers, cool, crisp air and the vibrancy of beautiful spring colors in full swing!
While I was laying in bed after a long day of rain and in-office work, I thought about a topic I’ve always wanted to write on: essentials. Do you ever have those mornings where you’re running 45 minutes behind and you can barely wipe your face clean, let alone throw a few swipes of mascara on? Yeah, we’ve all had those days! 🙋🏻
I’ve compiled a fun set of essentials for just these types of mornings. I picked items I felt channel class with a bit of sass, yet are very simple to mix together!
1. A little lipstick never hurt nobody! If you only have time for mascara and a bit of blush, throw on a bit of lip color. I’m OBSESSSSED with this Revlon Berry Haute lipstick. Lip color will easily complete any look.
2. I LOVE my tortoise patterned Ray Bans! Throw on a pair of sassy shades and you are ready to conquer the day ahead! I also always have to wear a few of my gold bangles with any and every outfit (aside from my gym outfits!). They add a bit of subtle personality to any look. Here, (slightly blocked) I have the Compass Alex & Ani and small bow Kate Spade bracelet– both very different but highlight my interests.
3. Nude, and I’m not talking about getting naked, rather a very simple and not too high nude heel. The pointed toe adds a bit of sass but is so simple and classy to add to any outfit, including dark jeans for a casual Friday look! These bad boys are my new faves. They’re Comfort Plus heels from Payless, and let me tell you, I could run around downtown Columbus all day in these and not feel a thing (just about…)!
Shades on, bracelets bangin’
A smack of color!

Happy Monday, ya’ll! While it’s the start of another week, there is fall beauty all around– from crisp orange and maroon leaves to the cool, night wind. And with that comes fun fall fashion looks!
Today’s look consisted of a couple solid pieces of different textures! I picked up this oh so cozy and comfy A-line dress at my favorite shop in Columbus, Vernacular! The pull over dress is as warm as wool without the itchiness- there’s even a thick lining underneath! The best part: black velvet elbow patches to add a bit of sass and flare! For work and warmth, I paired this with my favorite pair of yummie tummie black velvet leggings (an amazing line created by Heather Tomson). These leggings are so warm and are a variation of silver/black. These brown leather booties are a a perfect neutral pop of color! I’m not normally too much into olive green, but this dress is a classic fall shade.
Ok, let’s hear it, what’s your favorite fall dress? What’s your “go-to” comfy look?
Even though we’re still feeling the wrath of the muggy summer heat, autumn is right around the corner! It wasn’t until college that I learned to embrace and love fall and all it has to offer, from warm, oversized sweaters to fun leather booties and the most beloved, Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte.
I’ve compiled a collection of fall must-haves to inspire fun, chic outfits for the upcoming easy, breezy weather from places like Etsy, A&F, Macy’s, Express, H&M, Target, L.L. Bean and of course, Starbucks.
I love fall for one sole fashion reason: layers. Layers can be a blast– but do what looks best for you! Since I stand around 5’3″, long, oversized sweaters don’t always work for me… I look like I’m wearing a colored sack. However, I love pairing neutral sweaters with a top with a design/texture or pop of color. This year, I’m obsess with higher necklines, including scoops, to easily pair with nearly any sweater or leather jacket, and a statement necklace… or even a simple charm necklace. Side note: sometimes I wish the things I picture in my head to buy, would just magically appear in stores when I go shopping– wouldn’t that be heaven?!
So now, what are some of your favorite fall fashion pieces in your wardrobe?!
HAPPY MONDAY, bloggers! Today was beautiful, despite it being Monday, but the weather in Columbus was phenomenal- toasty, bits of clouds here and there and sparacticly beautiful rays of sun.
Today I wore my latest show buy- Oxfords from Bass. These are, without question, the most cofortable and cutest pair of shoes I own. I love the pop of peach color with the subtle gray hue.
I paired them with dark skinny jeans, an off-white, sheer peplum-ish top from non other than Vernacular (see previous blog posts for reference), a black Material Girl angled blazer that has a blind-like fabric design in the back and a dainty geometric gold/black necklace. So chic! I‘ll post a photo tomorrow!
What are your most comfortable and fashion-esque shoes?
AY YO! Monday is over and it’s a short-holiday week– we love it! I’m sorry I didn’t post this last week’s FashionFriday, I caught up on life and much needed sleep (haha!)– I feel like we can all relate to that, right?!
This post is based on something that a lot of girls may not think about. Accessories. Accessories can liven up any outfit. You can go from dull to glam just by adding a few bracelets/bangles, earrings and maybe a chunky ring- whatever you like. Accessories are a girl’s best friend.
I also believe accessories can tell a story or a lot about a person, such as where he/she has been or their interests, like favorite colors, style, designs, quotes… nearly everything under the sun!
Below is one of my fav accessories photos from Alex & Ani’s Instagram. Alex & Ani is an American retailer and producer of jewelry ranging from bangles, earrings, necklaces and rings that are all individually unique (see photo). They’re really luscious to group/pair together, expressing yourself in your own unique way.
