Fallinโ€™ for Suedeย

Happy Friday-eve, readers! ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ‚  & to top it off, the fall weather weโ€™ve been having in Ohio has been perfect this past week; the vivid orange and brown hues, the crisp breeze & all the fall layers!

One huge trend this season is suede. And another style thatโ€™s slithered itโ€™s way back into the fashion scene (which Iโ€™m so happy about!) is snap-front mini skirts. LIKE HELLO, yes, please give me all of them + every color of tights! ๐Ÿค—๐Ÿ˜ but seriously, these take me back to my early grade school days… #tbt.

I snagged this fun suede skirt from Old Navy, & it pairs with so much! Again, staples are key. ๐Ÿ˜‰  I paired this with a classic cream sweater from way back in the day, but itโ€™s adorable with a plain or patterned turtleneck or a black & White stripped tee. Throw on neutral tights + your favorite booties & youโ€™re set for the day! (Ps: I featured these show-stopper booties in my last blog post – check it out!)

Have you dived into the snap-front skirts again?! If so, what do you love to pair with it? Iโ€™d love to hear!

All Patterns + Textures: A Fall Office-Look

Happy hump day, readers! We made it half way through the week ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป AND itโ€™s beginning to (finally) feel a lot like fall! ๐ŸŽƒ๐Ÿ‚๐Ÿฟ I love the cool morning air and warm afternoon sunshine – it helps make the getting-dark-early-part of fall bareable. ๐Ÿ˜Œ

As weโ€™re moving into the cooler weather comes fun & fresh patterns & textures to rock!! For me, itโ€™s primarily in the office. ๐Ÿ’๐Ÿป hey, who said office-ware canโ€™t be stylish?!

So Iโ€™m obsessed with lace! However, lace can be either classy or trashy (IMO). BUT Loft never fails @ showcasing some pretty rad lace, especially this tunic!

I discovered this gem at the Loft Outlet this past weekend, and Iโ€™ve linked a similar one here from Madewell. ๐Ÿ˜Š I paired this with a pair of simple Columnsit black pants from EXPRESS, along with these KILLER leopard hide/black booties! Oh my gah. ๐Ÿ˜ talk about a statement shoe! The mix of lace & leopard print in one outfit is my FAVORITE combo so far this season!

I spotted these at G.H. Bass Outlet and new they were winners. Itโ€™s like business in the back and party in the front! ๐ŸŽ‰  If youโ€™re ever on the hunt for good shoes that are stylish but donโ€™t break the bank, check out G.H. Bass & Co. (they always have great sales, too).

I finished off the look with loose curls, a pigmented rosey-pink lipstick (Kate Moss, 17) and a pendant necklace, and violรก!

What is your top fall look, for work or play?! How do you mix your textures & patterns? ๐ŸŽ€ Iโ€™d love to hear!

Thanks for reading!

Wake & Slay: All About That Plaid

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVE EVE, everyone! Despite the chilly, rainy weather, I’m so excited for holiday festivities and love and gift giving and of course, copious amounts of mouth-watering food; hey, it’s the holla-daze, right?! ๐Ÿ˜‰๐ŸŽ„โ„

Even with the holidays (less than 48 hours!) near, many of us still had put in that 9-5 this week. Wake and slay. โœจ And in order to slay the days, cozy yet professional outfits are there at the ready.

I’m ob-sessed with plaid – any form of plaid! I discovered this super comfy and versatile plaid LuLaRoe Cassie skirt (no, I’m not going totally mainstream with my fashion choices) recently and paired it with navy tights, a neutral sweater and my beloved cognac booties! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Side notes:

1. LuLaRoe definitely has some fun, fashionable and comfy pieces! I would recommend checking out consultants you may know or searching for them on Facebook. ๐Ÿ‘—

2. This Cassie skirt doubles as an infinity  scarf! Like how wild is that?! AND it actually looks really cute.

IN LOVE with the vibrant navy & red plaid patterns on the Cassie, especially paired with navy tights!

I’ve been wearing daily this dainty Me to awe Rafiki necklace/bracelet from Fossil! It adds a bit of boho and femininity to any outfit – and yes, that’s totally possible!

With the type of outfit that your comfortable and confident in, you have all the power to slay the day, whether it’s at the office or out-n-about! And this time of year is perfect to pull out any and all plaid to stay cozy and comfy.

What plaid pieces are you obsessed with?! How do you rock them?!

Merry Christmas to all! โ„๐ŸŽ„โœจ

#OOTDย

Happy Tuesday – and Election Day, all! No matter your views and values, every vote counts. ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ˜€

I made it into work super early (this time change is already throwing me… but I love it in the mornings!), and wanted to do a quick #ootd (outfit of the day post). While it’s not very “American-themed” like I feel everyone at work will be dressed, it’s a fun twist on some fall faves with a casual tunic. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Burgundy tights + leather booties ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป

I’ve had this medium-cream tunic for months and was never thrilled with accessories I paired it with. The burgundy tights, tank, ruffle socks + booties are the perfect matches for it! It feels very fall yet still comfy + chic.

I added a simple gold bar necklace for a bit of added texture.

Where can YOU get your hands on these pieces?

Vernacular: tunic (visit them @shopvernacular on IG or online)

Tights + necklace: target

Socks: Kroger Marketplace – hey, no shame ๐Ÿ˜‰

Franco Sarto booties: Nordstrom Rack ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿป

Ahh, it’s your turn! What’s your outfit of the day?!

Until next time, Xx

Playful Poncho

Happy Monday, readers! Ahh, it’s the first Monday of a beautiful month, along with even more fall- chic and cozy- looks. I meant to post this and blonk, other life things interrupted me…

I feel as though ponchos have been around here and there in the past, and they’re making a huge sweep this year! This A&F poncho looks fabulous with a basic, neutral long sleeve tee! The pattern is eclectic and the strings on each side tie together to frame my torso. I paired this with HCO indigo skinny jeans and black Madden Girl booties for work, along with some subtle gems and Melted lip stain.

Let me just say that I was warm all day, despite the varying temps last week in Ohio. This is by far my favorite outfit so far!

Have you tried out a poncho yet?! I’d love to hear!

So Fall

Happy Monday, ya’ll! While it’s the start of another week, there is fall beauty all around– from crisp orange and maroon leaves to the cool, night wind. And with that comes fun fall fashion looks!

Fall Fashion dress

Today’s look consisted of a couple solid pieces of different textures! I picked up this oh so cozy and comfy A-line dress at my favorite shop in Columbus, Vernacular! The pull over dress is as warm as wool without the itchiness- there’s even a thick lining underneath! The best part: black velvet elbow patches to add a bit of sass and flare! For work and warmth, I paired this with my favorite pair of yummie tummie black velvet leggings (an amazing line created by Heather Tomson). These leggings are so warm and are a variation of silver/black. These brown leather booties are a a perfect neutral pop of color! I’m not normally too much into olive green, but this dress is a classic fall shade.

Ok, let’s hear it, what’s your favorite fall dress? What’s your “go-to” comfy look?

Until next time, Xx

Fall Wish List

Hello bloggers!

Even though we’re still feeling the wrath of the muggy summer heat, autumn is right around the corner! It wasn’t until college that I learned to embrace and love fall and all it has to offer, from warm, oversized sweaters to fun leather booties and the most beloved, Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte.

I’ve compiled a collection of fall must-haves to inspire fun, chic outfits for the upcoming easy, breezy weather from places like Etsy, A&F, Macy’s, Express, H&M, Target, L.L. Bean and of course, Starbucks.

Fall Wish List
Fall Wish List

I love fall for one sole fashion reason: layers. Layers can be a blast– but do what looks best for you! Since I stand around 5’3″, long, oversized sweaters don’t always work for me… I look like I’m wearing a colored sack. However,ย I love pairing neutral sweaters with a top with a design/texture or pop of color. This year, I’m obsess with higher necklines, including scoops, to easily pair with nearly any sweater or leather jacket, and a statement necklace… or even a simple charm necklace. Side note: sometimes I wish the things I picture in my head to buy, would just magically appear in stores when I go shopping– wouldn’t that be heaven?!

So now, what are some of your favorite fall fashion pieces in your wardrobe?!

Until next time, Xx
