Falling for (Fall) Florals

Hi hi, readers! ๐ŸŒž๐Ÿ‚ My favorite time of year is here, where the air smells of sea salt & maple everything, PSLs are all the rave & warm, dark florals are so in! ๐ŸŒป

Aside from my obsessions with fall-scented candles & PSLs, I swoon over Target’s fall clothing pieces. Every. Single. Time! One of their newer lines, Who What Wear, is prime.

The bubble sleeves, the auburn florals & the pinstripes, SAY WHAAAT?! Yes. All in one. You need to check out this bubble sleeve shirt. No joke!

I love pieces that can easily transition from work to casual. Those are the pieces that build a staple wardrobe to can carry on for seasons. Pair this with a pair of navy pants and cognac heels, you’re set from 9-5. Switch it up for after hours with destroyed denim, a statement necklace & brown leather ankle booties.

Alright all! What is your favorite fall fashion piece/style/pattern? How do you rock it?! I’d love to hear! ๐Ÿ๐ŸŒพ

Thanks for reading – Xx

Sweet Little Somethings

Hi there, HELLO! Happy Tuesday, readers! Let me just start off by gabbing about this absolutely gorgeous summer weather today – like all sun & cool breezes 😁🌞 that's what I'm talking about, Ohio!

I feel as though embroidery was HUGE when I was in grade school! I remember the "hip" embroidered, bootcut jeans and jean jackets like it was yesterday. Low & behold, embroidery is making a bold comeback!

My newest find is this jaw-dropping button down with gorgeous embroidered florals. The details in the stitches and the dainty bell sleeves flow so naturally. This top is so sweet. 🌸🌼 To top it off, you can find this at Target, babes!

My favorite part of this is the fact that the buttons are hidden with an over-layer – simple but adds a bit of class, & this blouse can be worn for business casual or out-&-about on a Saturday! I love dual-purpose pieces. & I LOVE the pattern underneath the flowers – mixing texture & colors. 😉

What "sweet little somethings" clothing piece are you over-the-moon about?! Feel free to share!

Special shoutout to one of my colleagues, Mai, for making me the adorable origami fashion pieces!

Summer-Fun Patterns ๐ŸŒผ๐ŸŒด

Happy (almost) Sunday, readers! Today was beyond gorgeous – bright blue skies, low humidity, 88 degrees and a gleaming sun. What more can you ask for?! ๐ŸŒž

As this summer’s fashion trends have been rolling out, florals and bold colors have been HUGE! Now, don’t get me wrong, patterns and bold colors can undoubtedly be intimidating. The key to all things intimindation is confidence. If you dig the all-over, funky pattern, you rock it with confidence! Trust me, it will make every single outfit.

I found the most fun patterned Pixie pants and shorts from Old Navy recently.

I love these pants because you can mix a solid or a subtle pattern for the top to add a bit more sass & fun! The aloha flowers make me wish I were on vacation like no other. Also, I’m obsessed with Pixie pants in general – they’re always a perfect fit.

Pick out your favorite: http://www.oldnavy.com/products/pixie-pants.jsp

These coral palm tree printed shorts are more than perfect. They’re long but not too long, like “mom-long.” I paired these with a white tunic from Old Navy for a casual & chic summer look. These bad boys are my new favorite shorts. ๐ŸŒด

No matter the color, no matter the pattern, always wear confidence. Life can’t be perfect, but your outfit can be. ๐ŸŽ€

What are some of your most loved summer patterns or pieces?

Until next time, Xx

Favorite Stores: Spring Edition

Hi there, hello, readers! Happy Tuesday! ๐ŸŒท

So now that it finally feels like spring has sprung, that means bright colors, dresses & light textiles! Today, I finally put away all the bulky sweaters & hung all zee fresh & vibrant colors in my wardrobe (granted, I will always have a bit of black for every season ๐Ÿ˜‰). It’s so refreshing.

With this transition, I wanted to share with you all a couple of my favorite pieces & top picks for clothing shops:

  • Target. But really, Target is my top go-to for clothing. If you don’t already shop there, you need to very soon! They have some great steals, & Victoria Beckham just released her not-so-Posh line & it’s ahhh-maxing

A Merona Target find. I’m obsessed with the peplum sleeve + the vibrancy of the royal blue. It’s so chic! ๐Ÿ‘—
Another Merona Target snag from 2 years ago. The creamy material is so light + the vertical floral pattern adds just the right amount of color & sass ๐ŸŒผ

  • Loft. I mean cute & business/casual chic all in one?! HI, YES PLEASE. Plus, sign up for Loft emails – there’s usually a sale code included! ๐Ÿ˜‰
  • Vernacular. A local clothing boutique that’s expanding to Texas and Atlanta. They have prime, hand-picked pieces for every season! You can also order online.

OK, so what are some of your favorite clothing shops or boutiques?! What are you rocking for spring?

I can’t wait to hear – thanks for reading!

Until next time, Xx

Style Saturday: Springing into Spring

Hello & happy Satur-YAY, readers! BLESS UP for a little relaxation & self-care after a long week. โœจ๐Ÿ’•

Despite the dropping temps here in Ohio, I for one am so ready for spring! I mean pastels, florals & patterns for days… all of my current wardrobe obsessions are definitely springing into spring…

I fell in love with this Vine Mixed Media Sweater T. It’s almost like a basic in the front with a party around back – HEEEYY! The sheer floral back is gathered, almost like a high peplum, & the navy shade is to die for.

Vine Mixed Media Sweater T: Loft ; Striped Bell Sleeve Henley: Loft ; Gray fitted Blazer: EXPRESS
Bonuses: it’s a high-low top – so hi, yes, perfect to tuck in in the front, & there’s baby pink hues in the florals. Navy & light pink together are gorg, always. ๐ŸŒธ

Next is this beautiful Henley top with bell sleeves, which are make a HUUGE comeback (yay)! The top’s textured pinstripes and buttons are paired perfectly, too. Plus, who doesn’t look good in baby blue?!

A gray blazer is a must. I wear this all year round & it’s definitely been one of my best wardrobe purchases. It’s the perfect staple to dress / sass-up any outfit!

OH MY LANTA! When I came across these fab floral pumps, I think my heart skipped a beat. So I went for the gold! Seldomely do you see wild, fun & colorfully patterned heels, & these can easily be a pop for any basic outfit. ๐ŸŒธ๐Ÿ˜

PSA: Go to OldNavy.com & order your size. 10/10.

What pieces are you OBSESSED with for spring?! What pattern/color is a must for you?

Krazy About Kimonosย

Happy Tuesday, readers! Ok, it has been entirely too long since my last post — no excuses & I hate it. On the sunny side, it seems as though spring is here & it’s here to stay! ๐ŸŒž๐ŸŒธ

As you know, every season has its own fashion statement pieces. One of my favorites that I tried for the first time is a kimono. Paired with the right pieces, kimonos are so fun, adding a bit of movement, sheer & pattern! At the same time, some kimonos can feel like straight shaper robes because of their weight & length (especially if you’re short like me!). With that being said, if you’re going to wear one, wear it with confidence (+ a bit of lip color!).

Classic mirror selfie; do it for the kimono
Neutrals + pattern

I paired this black & white one with a bit of nude- tank & flats, along with light-washed, high-waisted denim & a skinny black belt. The pattern was just enough with the neutrals — not too overpowering.

What pieces are you “krazy” for?! Or what do you pair your kimono with? Let’s hear!

Until next time, Xx

Fashion on a Budget & Fall Florals

Happy Tuesday, readers! We’re almost half way through the week, it’s almost the start of a new, fresh month- what more could you ask for?!

Tonight’s post is inspired by a recent find at Kohl’s and themed, “fashion on a budget.” Don’t get me wrong, I’m a Kohl’s fan, but I’m an even bigger fan of discovering one-of-a-kind items that can go with a variety of other pieces at a reasonable price (under $30 for the top shown below). This fitted baby doll sweater top is light and so chic. I love the neutrals and blush colors mixed in with the floral- colorful while perfect for fall! The ruffles around the hem add a bit more pop of “girly!”

This LC Lauren Conrad top paired nicely with the grey/green jeans and Style&Co mocha leather booties- a fun “Falling for Fall” outfit!

Words of advice: never buy clothes just “to have”… You need to love the pieces, otherwise, 99% of the time they’ll sit in your closet, unworn. Buy items that can be worn with pieces you have- you’ll be happier with your purchases in the long-run! It’s also a phenomenal feeling when you find that perfect item at a discount… Makes it even more worth while.

Do you have a favorite patterned piece that you like to wear with different outfits!? Let me hear!

Until next time, Xx
