Mock Top Love

Hey, hi, hello! Ok, it’s been far too long… for now, I’ll blame it on my obsession over decorating our apartment for the holidays. Seriously, I don’t think I’ve ever been so excited! All the pine scents, lights & copious amounts of hot cocoa. 😌🎄 Sheer perfection.

Like many folks, i delved into the holiday spirit by doing some mad shopping on Black Friday and Cyber Monday (which now extends into Tuesday, too!). Without question, my favorite finds this year were these mock turtlenecks from Old Navy! Plus, they’re on sale right now for $8!

I can’t say enough how much I love adding staples to my wardrobe. These mock tops are perfect because they’re a casual enough fabric to wear with jeans or dress up a look with colored pants. They have a textured ribbed look, and are so warm as the temps are dropping it like it’s… freezing. Plus, these mock tops are so fun with booties or mules! Like hi, yes. I’m also in love with mules. I’m thrilled these came back into the fashion whirl! They’re incredible vintage yet chic for any outfit.

So what were your top Black Friday or Cyber Monday fashion finds?! What are your thoughts on be comeback of mules? I’d love to hear!

Fallin’ for Suede

Happy Friday-eve, readers! 😉🍂  & to top it off, the fall weather we’ve been having in Ohio has been perfect this past week; the vivid orange and brown hues, the crisp breeze & all the fall layers!

One huge trend this season is suede. And another style that’s slithered it’s way back into the fashion scene (which I’m so happy about!) is snap-front mini skirts. LIKE HELLO, yes, please give me all of them + every color of tights! 🤗😍 but seriously, these take me back to my early grade school days… #tbt.

I snagged this fun suede skirt from Old Navy, & it pairs with so much! Again, staples are key. 😉  I paired this with a classic cream sweater from way back in the day, but it’s adorable with a plain or patterned turtleneck or a black & White stripped tee. Throw on neutral tights + your favorite booties & you’re set for the day! (Ps: I featured these show-stopper booties in my last blog post – check it out!)

Have you dived into the snap-front skirts again?! If so, what do you love to pair with it? I’d love to hear!

All Patterns + Textures: A Fall Office-Look

Happy hump day, readers! We made it half way through the week 🙌🏻 AND it’s beginning to (finally) feel a lot like fall! 🎃🍂🐿 I love the cool morning air and warm afternoon sunshine – it helps make the getting-dark-early-part of fall bareable. 😌

As we’re moving into the cooler weather comes fun & fresh patterns & textures to rock!! For me, it’s primarily in the office. 💁🏻 hey, who said office-ware can’t be stylish?!

So I’m obsessed with lace! However, lace can be either classy or trashy (IMO). BUT Loft never fails @ showcasing some pretty rad lace, especially this tunic!

I discovered this gem at the Loft Outlet this past weekend, and I’ve linked a similar one here from Madewell. 😊 I paired this with a pair of simple Columnsit black pants from EXPRESS, along with these KILLER leopard hide/black booties! Oh my gah. 😍 talk about a statement shoe! The mix of lace & leopard print in one outfit is my FAVORITE combo so far this season!

I spotted these at G.H. Bass Outlet and new they were winners. It’s like business in the back and party in the front! 🎉  If you’re ever on the hunt for good shoes that are stylish but don’t break the bank, check out G.H. Bass & Co. (they always have great sales, too).

I finished off the look with loose curls, a pigmented rosey-pink lipstick (Kate Moss, 17) and a pendant necklace, and violá!

What is your top fall look, for work or play?! How do you mix your textures & patterns? 🎀 I’d love to hear!

Navy / Weekend Wear

Happy Sunday, babes! ☕️ It’s finally feeling like the cool, crisp autumn we’ve been waiting for 🎃🍁🌞 PRAISE!

With this change in weather comes a shift in wardrobe. On a brief side note: I feel as though my taste in clothing has altered so much since graduating from college. Now, I search for staple pieces that can be worn in the office and out with the girls or my boyfriend at night. With that, I’m all about the sweaters, long or fitted, blanket scarves, plaid or solids and all the warm, dark fall colors! 🤗

I recently found this killer navy, double-peplum sweatshirt from Banana Republic. I’m obsessed! It’s pairs perfectly with these knee-ripped, high low hem jeans from Target, plus (throwback!) these gold mules by Franco Sarto (I found this pair at Mashall’s). Hi, yes! I’m over-the-moon obsessed with mules this season! They’re different, fun, casual & super easy for any outfit. You need to get a pair. Or five. 😉

What is your go-to weekend wear? Are there any colors or patterns you’re excited to rock this season?! I’d love to hear! 😀

Falling for (Fall) Florals

Hi hi, readers! 🌞🍂 My favorite time of year is here, where the air smells of sea salt & maple everything, PSLs are all the rave & warm, dark florals are so in! 🌻

Aside from my obsessions with fall-scented candles & PSLs, I swoon over Target’s fall clothing pieces. Every. Single. Time! One of their newer lines, Who What Wear, is prime.

The bubble sleeves, the auburn florals & the pinstripes, SAY WHAAAT?! Yes. All in one. You need to check out this bubble sleeve shirt. No joke!

I love pieces that can easily transition from work to casual. Those are the pieces that build a staple wardrobe to can carry on for seasons. Pair this with a pair of navy pants and cognac heels, you’re set from 9-5. Switch it up for after hours with destroyed denim, a statement necklace & brown leather ankle booties.

Alright all! What is your favorite fall fashion piece/style/pattern? How do you rock it?! I’d love to hear! 🍁🌾

Fall-like Weekend-wear

Good evening, readers! 🌛 This weekend's weather has been perfect so far – not too steamy, just enough sun yesterday & just the right amount of clouds & cool breezes today. Talk about early autumn weather!! 🍂🌾

With the slow change in weather comes a transition of wardrobe. Now don't get me wrong, sometimes this shift is tough to gauge because summer temps can linger into the late fall. Denim is a great staple for these fluctuations, & grey is an easy neutral for nearly any outfit!

I paired this off the shoulder, striped, flowy top with dark denim jeans & Merona pearl sandals. Add a statement necklace & in all set. Plus, how can any girl turn down pearls, even costume pearls??

A few things that I'm obsessing over:
– the sleeves on this top are split all the way up & adds so much flare
– the jeans are a high-low hem – perfect for shorter females like me so they get right at the ankle 😉
– the pearl sandals are Steve Madden dupes!
– all these pieces (excluding the pearls) are from Target! Seriously, my holy grail. I found the pearl slide sandals on a blogger's Instagram, looked a bit more into them and found that Steve Madden sells them for nearly triple the price at Target. AND they're so comfy! I 12/10 recommend you check them out – also sold in black!

What is your favorite not-quite-but-almost-fall-weekend-look?! What pieces are staples as you start rolling out the new wardrobe? 🌻

Thanks for reading!

Sweet Little Somethings

Hi there, HELLO! Happy Tuesday, readers! Let me just start off by gabbing about this absolutely gorgeous summer weather today – like all sun & cool breezes 😁🌞 that's what I'm talking about, Ohio!

I feel as though embroidery was HUGE when I was in grade school! I remember the "hip" embroidered, bootcut jeans and jean jackets like it was yesterday. Low & behold, embroidery is making a bold comeback!

My newest find is this jaw-dropping button down with gorgeous embroidered florals. The details in the stitches and the dainty bell sleeves flow so naturally. This top is so sweet. 🌸🌼 To top it off, you can find this at Target, babes!

My favorite part of this is the fact that the buttons are hidden with an over-layer – simple but adds a bit of class, & this blouse can be worn for business casual or out-&-about on a Saturday! I love dual-purpose pieces. & I LOVE the pattern underneath the flowers – mixing texture & colors. 😉

What "sweet little somethings" clothing piece are you over-the-moon about?! Feel free to share!

Special shoutout to one of my colleagues, Mai, for making me the adorable origami fashion pieces!
